I do all the wrenching on my banshee. But I would rather ride than wrench.

 

This 4 stroke is more challanging thing is stupid. You can challange you self to make a 2 stroke really fast. There is always a way to make it a lil more faster. You dont have to take the easy way out and do bolt ons. Just come up with some new ideas. You can bust you a$$ for a 80 hp 4 stroke or try to make a 140 Hp 2 stroke. I guess I would just want to see some type of results after I do a ton of work and spend some big $$$$$$.

 

Since they have ..or are going to discontinue the 2 strokes, I decided to go 4 strokes. It is the future my friends...I bet if most of you had the cash, you would most likely find yourself buying a new 4 stroke... whether it be a Honda 450r or a yzf 450 or whatever. .....even the shee is gonna be discontinued here real soon ....If ya can't beat em, join em.
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing like a 250r hitting the power band and the feel of a shee on a jump, but 4 strokes are the future.Besides the Shee and the Blaster..(and the Polardass) Who makes a descent 2 stroke....Nobody.But this is what life is all about....To each his own.I am a Chevy man but I'm sure there are alot of Ford and Dodge guys out there.

 

It can be your future not mine. Who makes a descent 2 stroke?? Well lets see Ski-Doo, Artic Cat, They still make the KX500 and will continue to make Dirt bikes with 2-strokes. Regardless does it matter if they still make 2-stroke motors or not? How hard is it to rebuild a 2-stroke, maybe an hour if your slow.

 

While I do not ride them..I support them..I hope the 2 stroke guys keep fighting to keep them...but don't bash us thumpers! God damn! WE ALL RIDE WHO CARES!!!..But I will support 2 strokes as long as I keep riding....may own one sometime...may not....but i'll support em.

 

How are 2 strokes primitive? 4-strokes were made first! I would rather have a bike that takes 30 mins to rebuild and 50 bucks then 6 hours and 200 bucks.

and the engine rebuild thing...I've never had to spend ANY money on an engine rebuild...including my 200sx...the only thing I've ever had to replace were things that came from pure stupidity...Like crashes

 

ok heres the deal first off banshee2003 is the man. he's the big man at everything2stroke.com he is 100% correct about the 2 strokes "NOT BEING BANNED" they will fal from production thats a fact and sure to come soon. they can't say you can't ride em. all they can say is that they can't be produced anymore. i knwo for sure that gas gas has EPA ok until 2008. and polaris until something like 2010. he is also right about the banshee being around for a very long time. thye have made it for 17 years now and there are a sh*t load of them and there will continue to be for years to come. i love all 2 strokes. always have always will. 4 strokes are a totally differnt breed and shouldn't be pissed that they are not as fast. there are sopme good 4 stroke quads out there. some i respect like 450r,suzisakicat400, 400ex and YFZ450. there are also some crappy *** 4 strokes. the #1 POS 4 stroke is the raptor. anybody want some cracked a arms, cracked swing arm, or foamy rear brakes!!!! lmfao.. also the banshee engine is a 20 year old design and the snazzy new craptor is 310cc's bigger and it's also more expensive. i have 3 banshee's working on a 4th and i also have a 87 LT250R. i've been building quads and muscle cars since i was old enough to walk. i've been riding since i was 4 and guess what i've learned a few things. i've learned that just because soemthing is "high tech" doesn't mean it's good. and i've also learned that sometimes the simple things work best. heres an example i have a 03 shee with t5's thats all and i gave a raptor 10 quad lengths and guess what i passed him with one gear to go with no problem what so ever. i'm not bashing 4 strokes but i will bash the craptor. i believe that ATV riders need to band together so that we don't get walked all over. but in the same regard there are always gonna be rivalry inside the sport. yamaha vs honda, 2 stroke vs 4 stroke, etc. well i'm a 2 stroke yamaha fan, but still respect some hondas. just because youi don't agree with somebody else doesn't mean they are wrong just means that you are right in your own mind. i know on thing for sure a T5 shee is hard to beat and i have plenty of wins to prove it. the next time you bash on a banshee remember what your bashing against. nobody remembers that the shee kept the sport/high performance quads alive through the late 80's early 90's. honda had the 300ex thats far fromt high performance. suzuki had nothing and kawi had the mohave and the lakota. coem on people admit it the bahse is king and will live on for many years to come. i don't care what you ride you have to respect 2 strokes because they not only started the sport they kept it alive. does anybody rememer that the first wever qad was a 2 stroke. yep the 85 LT250r was the first quad and guess what it was a 2 stroke then the legendary TRX250R came out and not long after came teh banshee and the very underrated and under appceated tecate 4. so i say if you don't like 2 strokes then blow it out your ***. this post is titled 2 strokes unite. not 4 strokes coem in screaming bout this and that. get along already and if your a 4 stroke guy then stay out of a forum topic bout 2 strokes. if your a 2 stroke guy i say keepp ring dingin and drop by everything2stroke.com and say that 370banshee sent ya.
