Default How to upload video files?

i have a sony camcorder, it cant be more than 4 years im thinking. It is a handycam vision, and i was wondering if i could get a usb cable, and then upload video files. If that is not how, does anyone know how?

Default How to upload video files?

Is it a VHSC style tape? or DV tape? if it's digital you can import it. If it's analog you'll have to use hardware to convert it to a digital format

i have 1 with the little tapes.. how would i have to convert it?

yeah i got 8mm tapes i dont know if its digital or analog or what my dad just bought it to film me, and random things(i think hes crazy)lol

Since you are using tapes you will need an adaptor so your puter has audio and video imput jacks.
Most puter stores sell them I know dazzle makes quite a few different models to accomplish this.
They take your audio and video connections and input them into your puter via usb. Along with the adapter you will get software to capture the file on your puter.

It is basically and adapter so you can watch the video on your puter and the software basically records what you are watching.

Depends on the model and brand you buy. They start around 50 bucks and go up to about 300.
