when i shift into 4,5,6 gear and mash the gas it feels like its not putting power to the ground. it acts like something is slipping. could this be the tranny or what, it doesnt do it in 1,2,3. it will spin like heck and go in the first three gears, after that though it sux. what could it be? possibly bigger tires, i had 22 shredders on it, changed them when it started and put 22 spider trax on it, and it still does it...please help, its got me stumped here

 

clutch or valves probably. Is it smoking?

 

doesnt smoke at all. the valves do knock a little bit, but ive never had a quad that hasnt had them clack a little bit. why would the clutch do it only in those gears, do i need to tighten the clutch cable??

 

yeah I would try to tighten your clutch and check your valve clearance if you need a manual pm me and I'll e-mail you a PDF manual

It is the clutch slipping. You will have to replace you friction plates. When that happened on my warrior i went with a barnet clutch kit. around 100 bucks. and it wasnt to hard to install.
