If raptor weighed the same as yfz...

Raptors redline at 9000 not 7k. Light mods to a rappy will bet a 450 with the same weight rider.
it revs quickly, considering the size of its piston, but the redline hovers around a tidy 7000 rpm
the yfz 450 is tuned for acceleration, the raptor if tuned for acceleration, would perform admirably against the smaller 450
the rpm limit is key, cause the horsepower is higher at 7-10k rpm
but thats when the raptor has to shift and start over again, while the 450 keeps on revving
its all about shift points and rpm's...the raptor has to shift more times and quicker(due to rev limits) than the 450, which gives the advantage to the smaller engine (cause it stays in powerband longer)
again, 2 different machines designed for different applications....the raptor is just not designed for racing, but it has potential to be a good drag racer(it just needs to be modified for that purpose)

nice setup RaptorRcR...
wonder why the magazine writers, always publish BS?
unless all atv's are setup different from factory...lol
guess I won't really know what it redlines at, unless I measure it myself.
9100 rpm's, is that from dyno stock? or is that a quote from somewhere?

actually, i saw dyno numbers from this months dirtwheels that say the yfz has 40hp stock, and 46 with most pipes, i dont trust it because pipes do not add that much hp, but the base horsepower seems right with that engine, 33-38 like what you guys are saying doesnt make sense, if thats the case they shoulda put the 250f motor in it.
