As close as the YFZ and Raptor are right now in stock trim, I think it would swing the advantage to the Raptor. 50lbs is a lot of weight, and it would definetly make the raptor quicker.

 

no, the raptor motor puts out like 36-38 hp, the yfz has like 46-52hp, even same weight the raptor would get smoked, its has more torque thats why it feels so fast

the dirtbike 450 has like 53hp, the yfz is detuned but not that much

 

I believe the bike has about 45 stock.

 

i think the yfz is more like 30s stock if that and i also think it takes after the wr motor more than the yz,and i know the raptor stock makes 31hp and if it was lighter than the yfz or equal im sure the raptor would be able to be right up there with the yfz...

I thought that after the yfz being out for a year that this stuff would stop. Guess I was wrong.

 

The Stock-Bore champion at last years MLK drags only made 48 RWHP on Kenz dyno and it had extensive porting, cams, a bigger carb, and a ton of compression. In the real-world, they typically dyno around 33-35 stock. Which is about the same as a stock Raptor. So if they weighed the same, the Raptor's higher torque would easily overpower the YFZ.
