Big Bear 400 4x4 front Diff Problems

Default Big Bear 400 4x4 front Diff Problems

Ok my bb 400 front differential blew apart into 3 peices while climbing a hill, i lost all of the peices and have no idea what i can do to fix the 4x4 without buying a whole new differential, somebody help me before i go after it with a plasma torch, Also my bb has 27 inch Blackwater XT's could this have anything to do with my problem

um..yeah the 27's might have put too much force agaisnt the diff or whatever..buying a new 1 might be the best bet...then ull know itll work fine

Something has to give. If you ever get into drag racing youll find out. When you beef one thing up, it puts strain on something else, it blows, you replace it with something stronger...and then the next weak link goes, and so on and so on. The 27s were probably a little too much leverage for the gears.
Good luck finding the front end, atv parts, I found this on a 97 big bear,
try doing a google search on used atv parts.

It's possible with your lift that the CV axles were operating at too great an angle. If they sell a diff drop you should look into it.
