I am thinking about selling my Raptor for a new YFZ. What do you guys think? Hopefully I could get around $6k for my bike, then trade straight across for an '05 red and white one. Would I be disappointed? I will probably never be able to save up the $2000+ for an awesome engine, and the crappy stock rod really concerns me. I do not want the added hassle of piston, cam, porting, rod, etc. I don't know, I'm just wondering. Let me know what you guys think.

Not around here, I've seen stock and messed up 01's selling for 4500. You could get around 6k for Wallstreets bike, might just have to wait it out for a while.

 

They maybe ADVERTISING for that, but I doubt seriously they're actually GETTING that. You'd have to be a few fries short of a happy meal to buy an 01' for that price......

I agree with XR650Warrior, I'd be VERY impressed if you got 6G's for a used raptor. I don't even think you could get that for a used 04'. People are very skittish about buying used quads with internal motor work.... What yr is it? If I got anything down to $5000 I'd take the money and run. People just don't want used quads with internal motor work.

 

The engine is bone stock, and the nitrous was professionally installed by an NX employee. I know 6k is reaching, but I would really like to go straight across to the YFZ.

 

Remember, Yamaha has a $500 rebate right now on the Raptor. That puts a new Raptor right around 6k.
