Help me avoid a trip to the dealer
Ok, here is the deal. My Wolverine with 10 hours on it is bogging out at the higher rpm's of each gear. It starts fine, and at low rpms runs, but once I punch it is just cuts out.
I made the mistake of putting 87 octane gas in it from September of 2003 (it was generator fuel in the same container as my gas). The gas WAS stabilized though. . . .
I siphoned out the gas but I don't think I got all of it and put 93 in there, loosened the screw on the bottom of the carb and let that drip out for some time, but the thing is still bogging like a buster.
To aviod taking up the rear at the dealer, what should I do? Is removing the carb necessary? Should I drain the tank completely, drain the carb, change the plug?
Or should I just bring the bike to the dealer for the 20 hour service early and let them deal with it?
Please help if anyone has made this kind of mistake.
Thanks.
