14:1 Ride Report...
Well I finally got around to installing my 14:1 Ross 102mm piston.....and it rip's. It only took a couple hours at TheRaptorMan's to install the piston and get everything back together. Install was easy and we had no problems. So after the install we shoved it out of his trailor and I turned the key and pushed the starter.....fired up on the first attempt without hesitation. The Grizzly 660 battery worked perfect on the high comp motor. After letting it warm up I shut it down, checked the oil and finish putting on the plastic. After getting everything back together with 0 spare parts, I took it on a short trip down the road and back. Instantly I noticed that the low end grunt had a noticable gain over the 11:1 in torque. So I went up through the gear's and noticed that the 14:1 pulls a helluva lot harder then the 11:1 ever did.
Needless to say I was very happy.
So today I cleaned the entire bike, checked for any leaks...none. I did check the spark plug as well, and had a grey looking plug. Alittle lean for what I like, so I will jet up Tuesday when I remove my air box and install the drag headers I am having made. Looks like the Drag Raptor project is coming along nicely. After a couple rides today I am very happy with the switch. Gained a couple more lenght's over my buddies 440(to put me at around 11-13 lenght advantage when we race infront of my home). I'll have some good drag times this weekend when I race at Fairplane, WV. Myself and TheRaptorMan will be there, and hopefully Mike(theraptorman) will bring his camera and get some video footage.

Good going!!!
I wish I could do that kind of work on my own bike!! It just looks so different than a car engine. I just didnt like putting the head back on..... I dont mind working on car engines and maybe I just need to get my feet wet....
Lets see some video next.!!

It will be intresting to see how much your time picks up with just the added compression.

Did he have the last piston in long enough to figure out his time on it.
SixSixT...I was curious about my valve's right now. With the Stage 2 Cam they call for .20 and .25 as the adjustments...what about .008 and .013? With the .020 and .025 they seem very loose and noisey.
