Default LT250rs any good?

my friend had one and the handling was okay, but he worked on that thing constaly. he had it for like 5 month and it blew up twice. another thing was he was always playing with the jetting. i would come over to go riding and he would try to start it up and it wouldn't start so we couldn't go riding. they are a pain in the butt. and my friend knew what he was doing. They are real fast when they run right though

Well anything will handle better then my Warrior.

Hmm...I have heard they don't last long, I also heard some people going on 5+ years with the same top end. I will make sure it runs good.

Any more opinions? I may have it monday morning.

I would consider the LT a big upgrade, which leads the pessimist in me to ask, 'Why does the other guy want to downgrade?'

i have an 89 lt250r and it is a great bike.will handle much better than youre warrior.my friend has one so i have ridden one.it will beat it in a drag race.it will beat it in the trail,it will beat it on the track.(all with equal riders)the jumping will be so much better.it is a two stroke so you will have to replace the top end more often.$150-$200 including bore.if you take care of it it will last a long time.mine is on its first aftermarket piston.thats one top end rebuild in 15 years.and i just had it done.it will be a very reliable machine if you check it over before and after each ride.keep the airfilter clean.good gas.change oil every couple rides.and keep coolent in it.jetting isnt hard on the bikes.you will love it over the warrior.if it is in good condition.it will be dumb to not trade.
