Default Opinions on DialaJet?

I am thinking of getting a DialaJet as apposed to individual jets when I install my intake and exhaust. Anybody have experience with them good or bad? Any opinions welcome.]

Thanks in advance!

I think it is a great idea if you change elevation alot...or extreme temp changes.

where I ride...things are pretty much constant, so I have gotten used to just changing out the jets.

I used to hate mine, but now i have it tuned perfectly and I beat my buddy's 99 400ex with FMF titanium headers and FMF muffler, he also has K&N Filter and a Rev box. I raised my needle 1 clip (made it richer) and then leaned it out a little bit with the dial a jet. So now im running perfect.I like it now that it's tuned perfectly but if you don't have it tuned correctly it's a pain. I think you still have to change the main jet size if you add a pipe and other things. I'm not positive on that though. I should read up on that. If you have any questions you can pm me, or i'll keep my eye on this post too.

So, is it just a add on to current carborator?

Do you have to get bigger jets and then put on the dial jet, or is the DialJet increase jet size also?

Here is the website for dial-a-jet: http://www.thunderproducts.com/dial_a_jet.htm

The way I understand them to work is that they use the negative pressure (vacuum) in the intake to suck air through a suplementary jet mounted on the carb or intake boot housing to facilitate jetting. It works much in the same way a vacuum carb works. It pulls its fuel supply from the carb bowl via the overflow and is supposed to have the capability of evening out slight errors in jetting.

I have never used one personally but I have seen many on this forum who have. Some liked them; others didn't.
