Default raptor660 oil filter/ will a bosch 3300 work???

i have had good luck with the bosch, one leaked so i bought a fram but it would not screw on I probally got the wrong one. but i took the gasket off the fram and put it on the bosch and it solved the problem. I would like to hear what's up with the fram as well Gary, i like the way they would look with the grip stuff on there to help get a good hold on it. but if they just suck I'll stick with the bosch.

hey guys thanks for the input......i called the auto zone ,,,,,they have the bosch in stock for six dollars,,,,i like bosch parts,, they make good quality parts, in my opinion. I only ride about 5 to 6 hours a month at the most. sometimes not even that. it's hard to find time......today im going to st.joe for a few hours. then im going to be ready for a oil change.

thanks

When I had my engine built it came back with a K&N oil filter on it.It was pretty cool and, compact. I'd like to find the number of it since i tossed it when i changed the oil after break in. Any one know what the part # is for the K&N and, what they cost?

Also, are the filters your speaking of (Bosch/STP/Fram) the same size as stock or, are they longer like car oil filters? Wouldn't longer interfere?

the bosch is a little longer but not by much maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 inch, i have only had a couple of scrape marks from my boots on the end of it, but I wear a size 12 so not everybodys feet will touch. I still wouldnt say it's a problem, and they are well worth the price

Here are a couple of links concerning the 6017a filter and Fram filters in general...
1st link

2nd link

There used too be a ton of bad info out there on the net about the 6017a filter...I had little luck finding any now. Maybe Fram bought them off?? LOL

The bosch is maybe 1/4" longer and the STP (which is also cheaper than the bosch) is possibly 1/2" longer than the Yamaha brand.
