When I shift from second to 3rd, most of the time it goes into neutral. Is this because of the aftermarket shifter? If I hit the shifter hard enough it goes into gear each time. I have heard from two others as well and just wanted to know if others are having the same issue.

Thanks

Maybe I will go back to the one I made last year. I liked it alot and the shifting was right on. I like the billet one becuase it looked cleaner than the one I made. I actually have it on my other Raptor and its never giving me any problems.

Later Sam and hope to hook up with you soon.

Maybe its you, I dont have a problem with my IMS shifter and never hit neutral going from 2nd to 3rd, not even going from 1st to 2nd. But if someone else uses my raptor, they cant shift at all, I think you just have to get used to it.

Its weird cuz I got a banshee aftermarket shifter and turned it into a Raptor shifter and had it grinded on and bent to fit my bike and boots and that thing rocks! I think the Prodesign sits to high and cannot be modified to go lower or it will hit the frame......

Is it a direct shifter or does it use the linkage?

Direct shifter. I got rid of the linkage because I like how quick it shifts without it.

I want a direct shift for my rappy.

It is a much longer throw than the stocker. When I ride my buddies,,,it takes a little getting used to. Sometimes I shift from 1st into neutral rather than 2nd.
