I personaly was let down, after spending all the time tuning it, for the little bit of power that it added. My wolverine must be sick, some of these guy's in here will say that they can run 27" tires, or pull wheelies in 3rd gear, and all that stuff but mine sure won't. Don't get me wrong, it has decent power, but try to turn 25's in deep mud, or ease up a tricky place where there is decent traction and you'll find you don't have enough stuff to make it. It might be I'm just an lard *** and these guys are alot lighter than me, I duno. Well thats my 1/2 cents worth. It's worth it, just don't expect the moon!

wolverine51,
What "baffel" are you talking about? The power-up jet kit with a K+N filter, jetted correctly will make more horsepower--how much?? where in the RPM curve?? I saw more improvement with a pipe than the power-up kit, but I was running a main jet that was a little to rich. I noticed a large difference going from 23" tires to 25" and I dont think I would go any larger for the type of riding I do.

I'm just looking for a little power gain, the 26 in tires seem to have taken a little away, just a little boost and i would be happy , just by using the jet kit with stock filter. i do notice similar
bikes taking hills in higher gears than mine.

all the tuning you did??? k&N assured me that they
would give me base setting, and it would not take
much time after that...I dont want to spend weeks
rejetting a carb......

You will not get the results your looking for without cam, head, and piston mods, trust me I`ve been there The Wolverine will rev to 7000 to 8000 rpms if you open the head up, the head design is very restrictive. But yes you will be jetting and tuning more often, it comes with the territory. If you dont know what your doing, well get a faster stock quad

My brothers wolverine has absolutely no low end power it won't spin the tires if you drove up to something and tried to push it over instead it will just wimp out and not spin the tires, even my old lt 160 will do this, and that quad will not wheely the most I can wheely that quad is for like 2 feet with the tires about 6 inchs off the ground and I'm 6'2 215 I can even wheely the grizzly better than that the only thing that his 99 wolverine does do is keep up with my warrior on the top end fairly well, so my point is are all wolverines this low powered or does my bro's a strange case.
