question about the banshee?
Twist throttles are a whole different story. When I had a twist, I also thought it was really easy, but I ended up wrecking pretty bad with it and switched back to thumb.
sredish- I wonder if it would run irratically when off the throttle, because it seems like there would be much less force keeping the slides in the idle position?? Since when have you been straying away from the hq???

I have cut the springs on 3 different sets of carbs and never had a problem. Why would it run any different? If they were CV style (where vacumm opens the slide, cable opens a butterfly) then the spring tension would matter. It doesn't take much spring pressure to hold down the slide at idle. The weight of the slide itself would do that.
You can also take a file to the spring and make the wire size smaller throughout the spring. This lowers the tension on the wire.
I too was wondering sredish is away from the HQ. If you think there are annoying, reduntant questions and "What is faster? My big bear or my friends blaster, or my second cousins, third wifes, last boyfriends, hopped up moped? on the HQ, wait till you see some of what goes on over here. I hardly ever come here anymore.
