What type of riding will you be doing?
Maxxis Razr 2 are good on a track
for everything else i think the H-D owns.
There great for trails GGNC mud and most other types soft ground.
But i'll warn you on sand and gravel pits the HD is too soft and get eatin up way to quick.

I think it boils down to brand loyalty and availability. I looked EVERYWHERE for the HD's and everyone was out of stock. They're both great tires, with my personal opinion/preference going to the HDs(if you can find them )

the Razr MX's that come on the Predator do awesome in mud, they clean out like no other tire. The razr 2 should clean out just as well

i have the razr 2s and i like em,but havent tried the hds yet.you might want to check out the new razr also. when new the tread on razr2 looks mean as hell, but one year later ,there about beat.but thats on a 2 stroke which spends about 60% of its time spinning.on a four stroke i think they would hold up much better unless its a yfz or 450r modded.

Razr2s do not wear quickly. Not at all. I rode and raced on the same set ever since they were first available to the public up until this spring. And I am hard on them. They held up great and still had ~70% tread depth left. But they do not spin real easy. When Bill Ballance switched to the YFZ 450 from his 2 stroke I saw him run regular Razrs a few times. I was told by some other GNCC racers that ride a 450 that it is because the R2 grips so well they are hard to spin and hard to slide around corners unless you have alot of torque or a lot of wheel spin like 2 strokes. I don't know if this is true, but that is what was told to me.

Then again, I have seen hundreds of 450s using the R2s. So they must work pretty well for some people.

I believe that Maxxis' solution is the new iRazr. I think this is the new hot thing for the new 450s. But to me they look an aweful lot like the stock Raptor tires and the stock YFZ450 tires.

I like Maxxis, never had a complaint, and that is all I will buy until someone proves that there is something better. Good luck with your decision.
