Well, as I read all 4 pages, I came across some good comments, as well as dumb remarks. I must compliment you though, you did come up with a good topic starter. Got my attention. Oh yeah.. back to the arguement. The raptor is going to have it's good's and bad's. As in every bike. Like my banshee, I love the top end.. but I would like a little more torque. As in every "my bike is faster and better than yours" topic, there is someone who comes in and talks about skill.. I guess it's my turn to do that! If the rider dosen't know what to do with the quad, it dosen't do anything!!! Put an experienced rider on a decent quad, and he will beat a beginner rider on a modified quad every time! And about the DS being faster than a banshee.. well, I haven't gotten the chance to race one. But, I still run the risk of losing. But if i let my neighbor ride it.. the outcome might be different. (even though all of my neighbors don't ride) I personally think I'm a good rider, but definately not the best. I took my bike up to the trails near our house, and some guys on 400ex's and 300ex's were faster than me. Not because their bikes were, but because they were more experienced at that place! I really think the cannondale will be a good quad, if they can keep it in production. I also have 2 Polaris quads.. they're okay if you wanna poke around on the farm or dust down the trail, but when you put them on the track.. Keep em outta my way! Well, until I race a DS or a Raptor, I will not say which one is faster! And about the 15 comment, well i'm 15.. i'm crazy all my friends say.. but I guess all of us are! Later,

I agree, and I bet the torque is much higher than the horsepower with this engine because of the 5 valve head. And torque is the juice that gets you out of the hole, horsepower gets you up a hill. I cant wait till labor day weekend to see some in action vs. other quads so I dont have to believe conflicting stories from all the magazines.
