Don't let these guys scare you away. Many of us on here are still running strong on 01 trannies. Some of us (like myself) have been running a stock 01 tranny on our 686 with no problems. The trouble is, you only hear from those who have had problems.

No suspension problems with any year model raptor. The suspension is good for all around riding but will require an upgrade if you plan to race competitively or prefer a race-type suspension.

I used to have an 01' as well. Mine held up fine while I had it(bought it in june03'), but got rid of it at the begining of Feb04', so I couldn't tell ya if its still goin' or not. I posted a thread a while back to see how many people on here still had they're original 01' gears, and was very impressed.

Heres some moral support for those with 01's

No real problems here either. Like someone else said you only here from those with problems it's just stereotyping. The majority of 01's are still going strong just ride the quad before buying that way you can tell if the tranny is still good or not.

Thanks to everyone that responded as well. It's nice to hear from those who have seen the good side of the Raptor instead of those who just want to bag on it.
