raptor vs banshee
I raced my raptor and banshee yesterday for the first time. We ran them in the grass quite a fue times. With a +5 swing arm on the Banshee it spun pretty bad but when it got traction in 4th or 5th gear it walked my raptor pretty good. Even still I was impressed with how well the raptor kept up with the banshee. They are both great Quads.

It's funny you should bring this up. I go to drags every weekend out in BFE where I live. They've got a marked off 300 patch of dirt (yea, I know it's not sand) with a tree and everything. The following bikes are out there EVERY weekend- Raptor, Preditor, 'Shee, 400EX, YFZ450, and a friend of mine that got a brand new '04 Honda 450R. This is the order in which EVERY outcome of each race is...
YFZ450
'Shee/ Raptor (I've got them tied because depending on how much traction the shee gets, they'll either tie or the 'Shee comes out on top)
400EX
Preditor
450R
They all have basic bolt-ons i.e., exhaust, intake, except the 450R, he just can't ride lol. Anyhoo, like I was sayin' the 'Shee either beats or ties with the Raptor depending on how much traction he gets. He if spins really bad, the Raptor will get out a little for the first 100-150ft, but then the ol' 'Shee catches right up. If he can get the 'Shee to leave decent, he'll ('Shee) be out fron the whole way. From what I've seen down there each Sun., the Raptor has good low end but no top end.
BTW, all riders are about equal in skill/size (except for my friend with the 450R).

well raptor has more top end than a stock shee.. stock for stock raptors faster.. my top end stock was 80 .. all i have is a jet kit and air filter and i beat two banshees. one banshee the worked one he sed it was his buddies so maybe he wasnt as experienced btu the otehr banshee ( fmf Pipe ATLEAST) was older and experieced .. and i beat them both by startingout in second gear.. give it alotta revs and eease out the clutch i had them beat good
