Default Different Banshee PreMix Ratios

50:1 Bad for the bike, but good for racing

32:1 Yamaha Recommends

20:1 Very Good In Long Run

10:1 Do you know what this does to your bike ?

leaner a 2 stroke is,the more power it produce, its all in longevity you want and use,at 24.1,with synthetic stuff, you're just making fume.
most synthetic stuff can be runned at 50.1 normal trail riding without
any problems and still pistons shape is good.

Actually leaner on gas will produce more power till you reach a certain point, leaner on oil will not.Pretty much every builder will tell you that a correctly jetted 20:1 mix ratio will produce more power than a correctly jetted 50:1 ratio. Now for everyday riding mixing todays synthetic oils at 20:1 to get a little more power out of your engine aint worth it, just use the oil manufacturer recommended mix ratio and everything will be allright.

LOL, well 10:1 would be kinda rich. The shee is a plug eater on 32:1, I can't imagine how it would be at 10:1, I would say that it would be hard to clean out the pipes, if it would turn the rpm to get them to come in at all. Ever had a dirtbkie with a bad crank seal on the output side? You know, sucking tranny oil into the crank, lots of smoke and run like crap.

I race and trail my bikes at 40:1 with Motul 600. Never had a problem due to oil.

I drag raced my Yamaha 535 air cooled (sled engine ) in 100 + heat on 80:1 amsoil with no problems.
as long as the oil can still lubricate your bearings and rings you want it as lean as possible . added to fuel it dampens the flame propigation and slows the burn. Less oil faster burn .

If jetted correctly a 20:1 mix will produce a little more HPs than a 50:1 mix it has been proven on dynos many times, more oil = less friction wich equals more power. Now I am not going to get into an endless argument here if you guys dont beleive me, long on to www.planetsand.com there is a dyno section there and go argue with them.

I wont argue lubricity . If you have faith in Synthetics . And I do .
I understand your point about the lubrication but if I can have the same lubrication with synthetics at 80:1 as you do with Dino oil 20:1 which will be closer to stoichiometric ? Synthetics .
