My front brake lever has about an inch of free play and there shouldn't be any,does anyone know how to tighten or stiffen it up?

 

the adjustment screw like a bike is next to the lever.

 

Is it loose or does it feel like it has air in the lines? If it is just real easy to pull back and then gets stiff then it may be air in the line... It makes the brakes feel "spongy"

 

yeah it goes back about an inch then gets stiff so there maybe air in the lines.Is there a way to fix this?

 

Is this a new quad? If so and you haven't worked on the brakes, I would take it back and let the dealer fix them. If you have air in the lines you will have to "bleed" the brakes and if you have not done this before I would let the dealer do it.

 

its a disc break so no cable.
but anyway try bleeding your break lines, should fix the problem
