Hey Lectron guys
I'm running a single 44mm lectron on my 686 and I am having trouble tuning it in right. It runs pretty good up until about 3/4 throttle, but if I open the throttle all the way it completely falls on its face. I'm running a 9-2-xl needle and a 35 powerjet right now. Can any of you lectron guys give me some tips on how to tune this thing or what setup you are running.

We are running custom horsepower research needles. I had the same symtoms you had and it was cause I had the wrong needle at first.
You want your bike to idle nice and cool, If it gets hot and lean on the bottom, Try to richen your needle.. I am willing to bet your needle is not deigned for your motor.
I run a lectron hv 48/50 w/ 130 pj.
Or crimp the line and richen needle up.
Sam, I would try a few different needles when @ the dyno, The one you had was close, but not perfect.

Gas, Did you pinch the pj line... If that doesnt work, try to take pj completly out.
Lean on the top end will give you the same symtoms of being rich. Believe it or not a wrong needle can sometimes make it to where you cannot get the motor to rev out like it should, no matter what PJ..

I think your too rich on top. Thats a pretty rich needle for gas. Try closing the pj off.
