Removing and Installing shocks..

Default Removing and Installing shocks..

Ok i am removing my stock 03 warrior front shocks and putting in 02front shocks off a raptor(finally) next friday.. i was wondering how do i get my stockers off and what's the easiest way( and right way) to get the new ones on?

Default Removing and Installing shocks..

Here is how I did it.

Jack the quad up in the front between the a arms, loosen stock shocks, slide them out.

Take Raptor Front shocks, bolt bottoms on only, and push top into mount. As you will be able to tell, the shocks are longer then the warrior stock shocks. So after you bolt the bottom, get someone to get ready to push the bolt through the frame and shock. Get a bar of some kind to wedge in between the top of the shock and the shock mount, then decompress the shock until it rechs the hole and have someone slide the bolt through. Tighten them up, and your done.

I would suggest tho for even better handleing, look into flippinf the front rims.

ok... how much should i torq the bolts too. .and do i gotta put ne lubes o nteh shock bushings?

Default Removing and Installing shocks..

I didn't torque them, I just put em as tight as I could. and I greased the stock bushing with white lithium grease...you dont really have to though.
