Not sure if I should fit nerf bars to a yfz 450. They serve a purpose for closed track racing but are they useful for messing around on trails, sand etc. I do not do any racing. Can nerf bars prevent the possibility of your foot slipping off the pegs under a rear wheel ?

Nerf Bars are a great safety measure. I cant count the times Ive slipped off the pegs at high speeds. worth every penny imo

They are really handy in the tight woods too. I couldnt count the times Ive gone to fast around a tree and misjudged the cornering. Since the nerfbar was there it just bounced the atv over instead of catching on the back tire and throwing me off. I highly recommend them if ya got the $$$.

the picture of my 400 illustrates what IndyPred is talking about,,,,,which is a very good point for woods riding

Saved me in a crash once, acted like a crashbar in a haed on. Also, kept my size 13's on the pegs many times. It's gets dicey when you rip through some puddles and get the pegs wet, then hit some rough terrain or whoops ar higher speeds. Slip right off and snap that leg.

Let your foot slip off the peg one time when your doin 60 and hit an unsuspecting bump and then you decide
