Default 686 big bore kit

I am going to be upgradin to the 686 here in a week or so.... i already searched the site on this topic, so dont tell me to go do a search. my raptor is set up for MX.... right now all i got is a white brothers R4 slip on. what would be the best combo for me? i was thinking the 12:1 piston with a stage 1 cam. would that be good? i wont have money to get any port work or anything done till at least next summer, or maybe even not till next fall. another question.... how many over is the 686 from stock? im goin with the JE setup thing. i know i should get a new ehaust system, and i am.... dont worry, lol. ill be runnin curtis sparks by this winter. i would run the stage 2 cam, but i dont got any money for the spring set. if anybody has a set they would like to sell me for cheap, contact me soon, and maybe i will get the stage 2. any other help would be greatly appraciated on this topic.

thanx

I'm not a super motor head but I don't think you can run a stage 2 without port and polish(Just a guess)I could be wrong though

wouldnt it be more benificial(sp?) to do it all at once/? You wont see a power increase thats incredible just by dropping in a bigger comp. piston.. plus u dont even have a full exhaust yet.. do u have intake taken care of?

You can run a stage 2 cam without port and polish. But you have to replace your stock valve springs with aftermarket.

You will see the biggest increase in power, and save money if you do everything at once.
