When you throttle the YFZ, the seat is the last thing on your mind!

one thing you have to remember, is warm up the engine properly, then ride it like your gonna ride it. If you want to seat the piston rings fully against the cylinder wall, the engine should be able to rev up with a load(acc. in gear, etc.) if you follow the owners manual, the piston rings wont seat properly with the cylinder wall, and you will get a little blow by, and not the fullest compression you can get.

if you warm up the engine to operating temp before the first ride, you should ride it like your goin to ride it, to allow the piston rings to seat properly. for this to happen, the engine has to be under a load while in the RPM range, so the piston rings will seat properly after the crosshatched pattern on the cylinder wall is worn off, if not, then you might get some blow by from the piston rings, and you wont have the best engine performance.
