Default adjusting warrior clutch

I have a '96 warrior, the clutch just grabs as the clutch is fully released. It has never slipped on me while out all the way but the last thing I need to be is up on the mountain and have this thing start slipping on me when I am in a bad area. I have tried adjusting the clutch linkage but it appears that the arm on the side of the engine that goes inside the motor is as far as it will move when the clutch is all the way out, So I don't think it is a matter of just adjusting the linkage. The machine has just been through its first set of tires, so it hasn't been ridden a whole lot. How long are these clutches supposed to last, and is there any further adjustment I can do
