my friends raptor wont start he check the plug clean it and its gettign gas any one got any ideas? it use to stall start back up right away then it stalled and wont start back up? the reverse lgiht used to flash but i figure that was from revvign soo mcuh? any idea thanks

 

Check and see if your carb boots are on, sometimes they will get blown off because of backfiring back through the carbs and seperate from the boots.

I dont remember seeing either the temp light or reverse light blink. They are either on or off from my experience.

If you are free revving the engine and hitting the limiter and that causes the light to blink then you may have some internal issues.

Other than that, I really cant pinpoint your problem. Make sure you do the common checks like battery, electrical connections, filter check, coil check, parking brake, etc.

 

Yeah, it could be something simple like a battery connection. Mine came loose all the time until I used some loctite on 'em.

mess with the wires under the seat going into that module while holding the start button. mine has electrical probs there whenever it wants to[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

 

make sure you let us know exactly what was wrong.

 

Check your carbs float valves...mine were stuck and it wouldn't start..Meticulously cleaned them now it runs perfect(just a thought)
