I sure hope you get this thing running right. Have you done the cam mod?
You can put the 170 in but IMHO it might be a little rich. If it was me i would put the 170 or 168 45 pilot. If you use the stock needle 4th clip.

I don't know if this will help you or not but I run a 168 main 45 pilot and clip on #5 with the stock needle. The spark arrestor has been removed and I have an EHS Racing airbox lid which is supposed to let in the same amount of air as no lid at all. It hauls *** from bottom to top with no dead spots or backfiring. I am at ~ 1400' elevation. I would think you could jet at close to this with a slightly larger main to compensate for your modded tail pipe.

type dagdog jetting in your search engine and go to the daddog jetting page. A lot of great information there about jetting issues.
P.S. Don't listen to those Honda guys, they're just jealous! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

It is not the jetting at all every yfz I have seen has this problem. It is caused by the sensor in the thum throtle not releasing when you go to full throttle. it can be fixed by cleaning or by bipassing the thingall togather hope this helps.
