Default Freak Warrior

My Buddy has this 01 Warrior he bought a couple months ago from a dealer. It's supposedly stock except for an FMF system and a jet kit. He added a K&N but that is it, and found it had a 15 tooth front sprocket on it.

The selling dealer told him the engine is stock but I'm having my doubts. It looks stock except for three little GTY-R stickers on the quad.

What I want to know, should a Warrior with an FMF pipe and a jet kit keep up with a piped 400ex?

He put a stock Renthal 13 tooth on it and this thing just feels WAY too quick for a piped Warrior. I have the same quad 100% stock and he weighs about 75lbs more than me, and he smoked me on my Warrior.

Of course I pulled out my Raptor and put him in his place. LOL

But he also smoked my neighbor who has a new 350 Rappy.

Something just doesn't add up. IMO he should not be smoking a 400ex with the mods he has.

Ooops:

I meant to say that he beat the 400ex after he put the 13 tooth on. Still, it's a little suspect IMO.

If it will stand straight up in second with throttle only and no leaning back and hold it straight up, not just pop it up for a second and go back down then its a bit modded, if it will do the same in third its decently modded. If it will do the both the same way with the 15 tooth on then its heavily modded.

most piped filtered and jetted warriors will only keep up with a stock 400ex thats running right
so its probably got an overbore done or perhaps a high comp piston try running a compression check
i think stock is 125ish i'm not 100% but mine is 153 if that helps.
