Default 05 Kodiak 450

This is my first post to the Forum but have been reading for weeks now. My brand new 05 kodiak 450 was just delivered. I read many post that were very helpful in my decision making process. All I have been able to do so far is ride around my neighboorhood but I can say I am suprised at the power this thing has. I think I got a great deal on it. Was about 5400.00 not including tax or title. Should be putting it to the test next weekend. Oh I have read some post that have said the new IRS felt "Tipsy". I haven't noticed it so far but like I said only had it three hours and riding in the ditches around the house.

Welcome to the forum.

I am not sure I got that good of a price on mine. I "paid" $6400 OTD for my '05 Kodiak with a 2500 lb Warn winch installed. The reason I put the word "paid" in quotation marks is because I really had to come up with $0.00, ... and ... an '04 Grizzly 660, which I traded in on the Kodiak 450. I figure that I at least got a fair price on the '04 Grizzly. Pretty amazing how much more manueverable the Kodiak is compared to the Grizzly. And that 421cc engine is pretty darn snappy, even if I do say so myself.

The tippy felling if you do encounter it will go away. I thought the same with my grizz but after awhile you get used to it. Imo utes are not built to take high speed corners but if you do alot of hill climbing it may be an issue.
