Default Warm-Up time for my New YFZ450...

I just bought a new 450, and am having problems with the Idle. It's taking nearly 5 minutes of warm-up time for the bike to Idle normally... is that normal? I'm also wondering if you guys have any links to a good FAQ for that model.

I grew up riding, but have been removed from the sport for almost 15 years... I need a refresher on the latest and greatest. Thanks guys.

i think the idle was low from the factory... try turning it up a little.

I started my YFZ for the first time the other day too, and had the choke on because it was cold and I figure it wouldnt' start up right away, suprisingly, it would not stay on and it idle'd funny, I had to turn the choke off and then it started up fine.

I just got the wife an yfz and first thing before she even rode it the baffle came out and the carb got a 45 pilot jet and 165 main jet. It ran like a top though I thought the idle was set to high from the dealer. The bigger pilot helps with starting and stalling out if you have that problem also.

2 of my buddies had the same issue with the idle on their YFZ's.The dealer told them that it would get better as the motor breaks in and after a few good riding sessions the idle issue started to fade away and now they no longer have that problem...........
