Default R1 Banshee....

At the track this past Saturday a guy showed up with what looked like a Frankenstein Banshee on the back of his truck. It was an R1 engine fit to a Banshee frame. He said it had took over 2years to get it set up and running right. I ran him in two classes, and YES he was fast LOL.

The gearing seemed to be to high so he was bogging out of the hole, I could pull him by 2 bikes out to mid track and then you could hear it comming on! He would pick up a TON of speed from the 150/ 200ft mark on. I beat him a few times and he beat me a few times but if he would ever get it comming out of the hole right it would be hard to beat. He had NOS (not running it), air shifter, and some other things done to it. His times were all over the place from mid 5's down to 4.3. I am anxious to see what he can get it down to with proper gearing and a little experience. The reason I say experience is that the guys son rode it and he had to be around 16 and couldn't weigh over 105lbs! As the night went on the track came togther and times started to go up. That is when he started staying in the 4's consistently, and I had a blast running against him! I will keep you guys posted on what this new creation at the track ends up doing!

On a side note I finally got a few 4.7 runs on the Rappy (engine only I am currently not running NOS). I can't wait to see what it does next summer after I put it on a diet this winter, and hook the bottle back up!

Later,
Mike
