Once again I need to take this off
There is something holding hte float up.
Even when the engine is running it overflowes out the drain tube
Anyone have a reason why before I start tearing it apart?
Would like to know something common to look for if possible.
thanks

Took it apart today and found deposits
Had some in the float seat
some in the bowl
I think it was from the last time I took the bowl apart in the field
We used a liquid gasket fluid to 'set' the oring into place since it kept falling.
This oring was covered in the same type of depsoits as every where else
Tried a filter NOT recommended.
Well, at least with the two different type of filters I tried.
NO fuel once running.

Your tank has a fuel filter in it, so an in line one probably wouldn't have helped. Also the deposits are probably caused by either water in your fuel (white looking) or leaving fuel sit in the carb too long (brownish yellow looking).
I would be very carefull using any type of liquid gasket on that o ring, for two reason. One, gas could eat it up, or two, if some of it stops up your seat valve you could have more problems.
The best thing I ever found to clean the deposit in the carb is steel wool. If its in the seat valve, or any other brass pieces, use fine steel wool. Elsewhere the coarse is ok.
