I am very interested in buying either a Kodiak 450 or a Griz 660, both '05. I have 4+ rough, up & down acres on which I will use it for clearing brush, trees, etc and plowing. Here is the rub. I have a driveway that is approx 800' long and 400' of it is very steep. The incline is probably 30 degrees +. Will either have the power, low gear etc. to get this job done or should I forget the driveway altogether.

 

If your driveway is 800' long you need more than an ATV for snow removal. I four wheel drive truck with a plow I would think of as a minimum. I don't think any ATV would hold up well plowing that much. Just my 2 cents though. I would personally go with the grrizz if you are going to work it that much.

 

I do share the driveway with someone who has a Sportsman 500 w/ plow and would share the work with them but I still think this is a handful.

 

IMO both would have the power to do it the problem being though is lack of traction. That steep of incline could be a real task to plow. Both have locking diff's so other than the weight difference both would work. Just plow down hill[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img].
