Default Blaster??

Im 14 5 4 105 lbs and a beginner. Ive been looking for a quad lately and the blaster looks right for me but a lot say 2 strokes are high maintenance, not reliable and might blow up on you. Is this true or should i get it. If it is true give me some suggestions of wut 4 stoke i should get. Thanks

this is highly debated, 2 strokes are often given the rep of not being as reliable and are a different creature. If you take good care of it ie serve to its high maintenance you shouldnt have any major problems. You need to decide what you wanta quad for. as a beginer i would advise you to get a 4 stroke ...if you are looking at yamaha maybe a warrior/raptor 350?!

I prefer to use the term "regular maintenance" vs "high maintenance". Even with a 4 stroke you want to make sure everything is in proper order. With any machine you plan on bumping and jumping with you want to make sure that everything works the way it should. Blaster can be very reliable provided you make sure everything is running the way it should. Iv'e known many people to ride 3 to 4 years on a top end.........heck, I have a friend who has an 88 and it is still bone stock, and the engine has never been touched (This is fact, he bought it new and it still runs great and has good compression).

for maintenance i just clean the air filter once in a while make sure its got plenty of gas and oil and give it a good cleaning once a week. Ive had no problems with it. Blasters are great beginner quads. I'm pleased with mine and its bone stock. They have pretty good power for a little machine! Its a very fun quad.

Or you could just get a warrior. They go for pretty cheap. You can get some pretty good MPG on those. I tell you what (Hank Hill)
