Default DG pipe on a Warrior? Please help...

My bud has a 2001 Warrior with a DG full system. It cracked off on him the last time we're out and it's really really really really loud. I've got the FMF PC IV and revving along side him I can't hear my own bike

I will say the two things I like alot about the Dg he has is

1. It's shorter than the grab bar so it won't be beat up doing wheelies (unlike my FMF)
2. It's sooooo shiney!! His is chrome and looks wicked when cleaned up.

Yeah... I don't wanna start anything either. I'm just saying what i'm hearing from pretty much everyone. I've found the HMF for around 175.00. Which is a better deal then most pipes and it performs just as well as the others.

If the pipe is really loud and is a few years old it probalbly needs to be repacked, although Iv'e heard that the DG is one of the loudest pipes out there. Then again my E series is quite loud.

Well I put the DG on and it sounds pretty good. The neighbors won't like it, but oh well. I actually did notice a bit of a difference in low end and a bit in mid. Top end still seems the same, but I really think the pipe did make a difference. I guess now I have another question, should I go a size bigger on my main jet on my carb now, or just leave it alone. I think the next thing I want is a different air filter. I have a unifilter in it now, thinking about a K&N but am afraid it will allow too much water in, since I do a fair bit of mud riding...any suggestions...thanks

Your bike definitly needs to be jetted. You won't see much top end on a Warrior because I read at high RPMs the stock valve springs are weak and the valves tend to float. I think its true because after I did the motor that weird sound that sounds like a rev limiter is gone. The springs are like $90.
