lol thanks for the concern.....havent been out practicing much since we had 5days of rain here...but 2nd keeps popping up on me...i give up on the street cause its always going to pop up on me there....and im 230lbs leaning forward, lol....but grass/dirt ill keep practicing

 

Hey, Sweet Forum. I bought my Raptor used from a repo auction. I've had it about a year and have smoked everything I've raced with one exception. I get to that in a minute.
04 Raptor - smoktem
03 LTZ 400 - smoktem
00 Banshee with pipes and some serious upgrades - smoktem
kawi 450 - gottem and he cheated off the line! everytime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YFZ 450 - with K & N, piped and jetted - we were neck n neck for 6 races? Then (later) he Said he put the larger jets in and he got me by a couple lengths - everytime.

My question is what is done to my Raptor. I agree its 60% rider. I think these guys could ride to? No pipe and its not gutted, not apperent Cylinder work, no upgraded filter? Its got a deeper rumble than my buddies 04??? Thanks, Later

 

I dont get it you lost to a piped YFZ 450 but smoked a banshee with "SERIOUS UPGRADES". My guess is not to much if your getting beat by a piped 450. Whats a Kawi 450? I doubt you have engine work and a stock pipe but who knows? It just wouldnt make any sense. Heres what I think.

A stock rap beats a z400
A stock rap can beat another stock rap (01's are geared higher I believe)
A stock rap dosent beat a piped shee at all unless it is crap, jetted wrong, or a bad driver
A stock rap dosent beat a YFZ 450, so that explains that one
My guess is you raced a KFZ 400, which is a z400, which is why you beat it too.

You sound bitter! All you really needed to say was " 01's are geared higher I believe". The owner of the Banshee said he had put a lot of $ into his quad. But I'm catching your sarcasm.

Honestly I thought I was going to get ate up by the Banshee! I thought I was going to loose most of these races, so I'm not trying to be cocky. But like I said I smoked the Banshee, about 5 times. I've ridden most of the bikes I've raced including the Banshee and the only one that felt faster was the YFZ. You are right, the Kawisaki I thought was a 450 was the KFZ 400. He kept cheating off the line so maybe it seemed faster than it is? I beat the YFZ 3 times out of 6, until he rejetted. As far as the stock 04 Raptor, the YFZ and I were at least 12 quad lengths ahead. If it is the gears, I don't understand the deeper, throaty sound my Raptor makes compared to other stock ones. Although I have never raced or ridden another 01? Let's face it and I think "Two stroke for life" will even agree - with enough money you can make a damn ten ton scrambler beat them all!!!!! and not because it's a two stoke! thanks for the reponse.................

 

Alright talk about a pride booster...went to Haspin Acres today and raced my butt off...raced so much, my muffle blew off..it was really weird...and really loud it was pretty funny..but heres my results

Me Vs.
DVX 400 built - I won
KFX400 - I won
Predator - I won
400ex - I won
440 EX - I won
Kfx Built - I won
Banshee with dual pipes - I won
02,03,03,04 Raptors - I won
450r piped - Took turns, i was really schocked by that..but its just who gets the better start

Lost VS. the predator once outta 4 ...Built KFX once outta 15....and me and the 450 came out about even....oh ya to let you guys know i took off in second everytime and never used clutch lever to shift..all in all it was a good race day......i wrote in detail just cause alot of people wonder who wins these kind of races and this should help.....o ya im 6'2 230...only other big guy was on the predator everyone else was small

 

All banshees have dual pipes. Unless there is a 2 into 1 that i dont know about.
