What noise is it making....................... is there tapping, scraping, fill us in. Also the if it your valve than your engine will still run because you have 4 others. But when you first start it up is there the orignal power or does fade away.

 

When I first start it up it sounds fine, its when I start going. I give it maybe 1/4 of the throttle and it starts bogging down almost like. While idling its only burning a little oil, but when I take off, it starts smoking pretty bad. I took it to a local shop an hour ago and he said it was more than likely valves and I probably have cylinder issues now also. I dont see how all of this happened. He estimated me $4-500 to get it fixed. But there is no way I can get it fixed in time for 'Noka.

Also, if I do have cylinder issues, should I spend a little more and bore it .60-.80 over for more power? New cam? Are their reliability issues with boring over like that on a raptor? Thanks again!

 

This is weird. I just took it out, its not burning oil and the power is back. What is going on with my 4 wheeler???? I pray to God it stays like this and its not screwed up. But I cant explain what happened this mornin and last night....?

 

i would say your valve was stuck and bacame unstuck. Have your valves checked out for clearance they mybe loose.

If it wasnt so fast, Id sell it for something more reliable. But being able to beat anything that my friends have but short of a pepped up YFZ my best friend has, im going to keep her and keep getting pissed off because I love the speed and jumping.
