I have a 2 stroke that used to be oil injected but now isnt but becuase its a 2 stroke you dont put in motor oil do you or should you use tranny oil. becuase i have been putting motor oil in it. could that be a problem

 

You're meaning in the gearbox?? Right? Cuz you'd use 2-stroke mixer oil for the engine ..

Doesn't it say on the gear box filler plug what to put in? I don't see motor oil as being a big problem, though it may not be the recommended lubricant. Call you yammi dealer if in doubt and don't have a service manual ..

 

Put 2-stroke pre-mix in with the gas ( or the injector) and put regular motor oil in the tranny

Are you saying that you put tranny oil in the gas?!? im confused.

 

no i mix golden spectro premix oil with my gas but i have been putting regular motor oil in the tranny. but since it doesnt need motor oil arent you supposed to put tranny oil in the tranny. oh and the bike is a YT 125 and it is and 84

 

Put regular oil in the tranny, probably 10w30 or 10w40...somthing like that.

 

ok i have been putting valvoline atv oil in so i should be ok right
