So Clinton can buy all the land and make it a "Federal Monument", he re-allocated money used to prevent & fight forest fires. Gore is no different. People have died so Clinton can take the land us taxpayers have paid for. Gore wanted to take legal action (accessory to murder)on Gun manufacturers when someone was killed with a handgun. Does this mean Gore can be prosecuted for accessory to murder as well?

People would be alive if it weren't for Clinton/Gore's land grab agenda.

Gore has personal agendas (we all know that)he intends to pursue. Clinton is mild compared to Gore.

ATV enthusiasts, if you want to have any possibility of keeping your rights to ride, vote for Bush.

 

Yea, vote for Bush and have the wilderness exploited by special corporate interests, (i.e., logging, oil co's, etc.). I'm more concerned with my childrens future than my atv. Don't get me wrong, I like my atv but I don't buy into uninformed scare tactics.

It is with great sadness that I read the
in-fighting and backbiting that is going on in this post. It astounds me that educated, respectable members such as those found posting here are so rapatious. The original post suggests that this forum be used for the benefit of those that like to use and ride ATV's. It then evolved into a Gore/ Bush mudflinging contest.
The fact of the matter is neither candidate is without flaw. Even with the best intentions we ALL make mistakes. Whether a politian does it purposely is really beside the point.
Many wise men and women have realized that even a long succession of excellent leaders will not lead to an improvement in either the environment or the conditions to enjoy it as one sees fit.
It is plain that it does not belong to man even to direct his own step.
Of course this flies in the face of almost all that we are tought from youth, but the fact is the same. As long as people run things people will continue to make mistakes and make it worse for the whole of humanity.
Even if the current candidates acted flawlessly in the handling of their positions the end of the matter is they will grow old and die and will be unable to carry on their great acts.
Since the beginning of recorded history man has ruined the earth either by outright polution or by corrupt oppressive governments. Man has dominated man to his own injury.
As a nation and as a species we have been entirely too greedy to act in a way that is really beneficial for not only ourselves but for our fellow man.
Unless this trait of greed and self elevation is completely eliminated, mankind as a whole will continue to degenerate. Most people recognize this trait in themselves and therefor look to things to find purpose in life.
Some look to self gratification, others prosperity, still others domination and power. Still more look outside themselves to the universe and their surroundings to find meaning in life. With out a drive for meaning in ones life a person simply dies. Since we do not intend to roll over and die we try to arrange our surroundings to bring us pleasure. As individuals we have different ideas of the perfect surroundings. Many ideas have been tried as to constructing the ideal surroundings. Most have failed.
It is with this thought in mind that I invite you to think "outside the box" and ask yourself what direction you think this country and this world is headed. Is it headed for improvement. Put your favorite leader as the head man/woman of the entire world and where do you project the world to be at the end of his/ her term. What if the terms lasted for 20 years? What about 50?
It becomes apparent that no leader or indefinite succession of leaders could make improvemnts to the world or even this nation simply because of human error.
The derogatory statements contained in this post can only serve to further divide us from each other as we attempt to enjoy our sport.
I emplore each member of this forum, especially those that have made negative posts, to discontinue this mutual bashing campaign and instead simply state opinion and leave it at that.
I have a very strong faith that the dissent that is now seen in the world will be remedied, but not by us. It is his direction I seek each day and of course he is the one that will get my support. I think everyone else should do the same.

 

JHAM, Holyman, & Moto4DX, Does nothing register? Are you guys THAT easily deceived? Since when do ANY politicians do anything in the best interest of the people. Gore has a "program" to clean up toxic waste. Its a joke.

Look at Dow, Ashland, Exxon, and all the rest of the companies big into chemicals or petroleum. They have so much soft money to throw at politicians so they stay off their back. Do you really think the world is going to end because of a few ATVs, Campers, & boats running around the wwods & lakes? Give me a break!!

There was a paper mill here that exploded and sent this huge cloud of chrlorine gas into the air making it necessary to evacuate about 10 square miles. The explosion was felt over a mile away. There is a list of incidents that lead up to this grand finale. They are back open. A few government fines & viola! back in business.

The only reason they are taking the Federal lands is because they can. If for no other reason than to let them know the Federal Government can't just mup and restrict the use of federal lands and completely confiscate the land of private owners at a whim.

I believe we need to be very environmentally concerned. I never leave the woods without cleaning up...EVER. I always make certain I recycle and keep my car tuned up. I take it in for regular maintenance. The corporations who pollute must be made liable and shoulder the responsibility of making it as right as possible.

I can't see giving someone else (gov't) carte blanche to go and confiscate and take that which is in the best interest of the current politicians. I wish I had time to correlate the particular land being taken with the potential gains for those who orchestrated the whole deal. These guys are politicians. Thats long for a liar.

Most want to do whats right. I'll be perfectly honest. The thought of allowing someone with the morals of Bill Clinton/ AL Gore to be able to take anything they want without any repercussions scares the hell out of me. To do what Bill Clinton did to his wife and daughter (especially ) and also to the American People is completely inexcusable.

Guys, come on! This is nothing more than a stepping stone. I think anyone here could outline a better plan to clean up the environment, provide health care, rebuild social security and the other issues we face than our current government. Th outline is easy, finding the people to champion the causes the way they are lined out is more difficult.

England's House of Parliament was rooted in tradition as well as being a form of government. Families would controll parliamentary procedure. Alliances formed and the rich got richer in the name of public service. Why do you think the Founding Fathers rotated people in & out of political office so often? The answer is so they could spend the time working on the issues they were chosen as representative to address without time to for the "Good Ole' Boy" alliances. Each & everyone here knows it to be true.

All politicians lie at one time or another. Some statements end up being lies which did not start out so. I could deal with Clinton or Gore getting caught stealing red handed easier than I can deal with the fact Bill Clinton committed adultery, lied about it to all our faces (I actually believed him the 1st go around), then solicited others (Gore, and other aids) to lie for him.

Whoever can condone the actions of either Gore or Clinton, I would not be real eager to have you in any position of trust. It's not who you are...Its what you do. How would you like to be Chelsea? Her Mom fired nearly the entire travel office, her Dad was accused once and convicted the second time of sexual behavior that would have gotten him fired from any company in the US and probably jail time too. Why was he still allowed to stay President? We see the double standard once again.

There's Al Gore there to carry on the tradition. The whole thing ought to make everyone nauseous. The United States is the subject of ridicule the world over thanks to the Clinton/Gore. We seem to round EVERYTHING to the least common denonimator.

I just wish the loss of a few places to ride was all that has happened. Sit back and get ready to see the repercussions of the democratic vote on everything this country was founded on if Gore gets elected.
