Has anyone noticed that Polaris is going to offer 2 (two) different gear ratios, higher rev. limit, reverse, etc. on their 05 Predator 500 (regular & TLD edition). I'll be the first Raptor owner to admit their giving there customers some great updates for 2005. Yamaha on the other hand is sitting on their butts & doing so little it's funny. The Predator looks like it will be the leader in the versatility sport quad department. I, for one will be joining the Polaris side of things, because Yamaha is stuck on sitting on their A**!!!! If I sound Pissed to some...well I am & with good reason.

good thinking jty2k....and the rest.....Polaris is offering great things, and they continue to make the pred better and better as we complain about things we don't like. Another thing to keep in mind is that Polaris is also great about helping the customer through problems that aren't the customers'.....and they have good warrenty work too. I agree, jumping ship would look like the way to go for now. Plus.....we are great guys over in the polaris forum, come and meet us, and we will help you with any problem we can. good luck in your choice.

i wouldn't own either of them,, that predator is the most rediculous looking bike that another company has tried to duplicate the looks of a raptor and failed. they at least should have put a bigger motor in it?????

People buy Yamahas because they are fast so they are more of a reactive company. If somone else makes something faster, theyl come back and beat them, but why waste energy when there is no competition and you wouldnt get any extra sales by making it faster. Like the banshee...they are still waiting on somone to make something faster, just aint gonna happen. So... if you want a faster raptor, talk polaris into making the pred smoke it, then youll get a new raptor. Simple as that [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
