Boondockers, claims their kits do not harm engines at all.

 

NOS is a brand by the way. NOS stands for nitrous oxide systems. had to clear that up. ok now back to the discussion. I only have a problem with nitrous when people don't fess up to using it after the smoked the crap out of your bike and they are just "piped and jetted". that right there is enough to **** anyone off.

 

I will agree that nitrous has a place, drag races. I guess now though with every kid in a honda civic bolting a nitrous system in his car its understandable that everyone has decided to start putting them on thier atv. I just never saw it as a mainstream bolt on like a pipe or higher compression piston. It seems like that is what its becoming though. The idea of power only when you want it is nice, but unless you would have to built a super high comp, drag only machine, why not have that power all the time? A well built mildly improved engine is no less reliable than a stock engine with nitrous.

As far as people not fessing up to it, its even easier to hide internal engine mods. I can put a complete big bore kit in my bike and you wont be able to see a thing except for a new seal on the head. At least with nitrous there is a bottle they have to hide. Its people like that in general that can tick you off.

 

I dont ever try to hide anything, what for..And comparing rice burner fart cannons to quads with nitrous is obsurd. Nitrous has been main stream for many years, it is just that some people dont know how to use it, so they dont like it. I have been using nitrous for 10+ plus years now and have always liked it. I get a kick out of the people who get pissed off when they get beat by it. I dont know maybe it is just me being an old car guy but, what do I know anyway.....
