I was considering buying either a kodiak 450 or a eiger . which one of these would win in a race, and hillclimbing with a bunch of rocks

 

i would say the kodiak would win the race but not by much. my riding partner has an eiger and it's pretty fast. as far as going places, i feel they are similar in abilities, until the terrain gets extreme (slippery or muddy) then the kodiak will dominate. the kodiak's diff. lock makes a huge difference. the eiger is a nice machine, very comfortable and reliable. the eiger sits higher than the kodiak and has a totally different feel. i know the eiger costs quite a bit less than the kodiak, but if you are willing to spend the extra money, then i would opt for the kodiak. my opinion is based on an 04 model, not an 05 with IRS.
