NO GECKOS. Stay away from cheap crap like those things. I had them before and I hated them to death. If you want paddles just be prepared to pay up, depending on what kind of riding you want to do, I would recommend either a hauler or edge (or something similar). Edge if you want handling, hauler if you want awesome hook-up. Dont overload a blaster, I would recommend probably 6 paddles, unless its got at least a pipe, then you can maybe pull 8's.

As mentioned before, rockymountainatv is a great site and they have prices way below what you would get at your local dealer. I asked my dealer how much it would be for 1 set of 9 paddle haulers and 1 set of 8 paddle edge's, both on .160's and he said he could try to get me a good deal around $700. I ordered them that night on rmatv for $450.

are GBC "sand sharks" or GBC "sand"s good, they are comparatively priced to the gecko , therefore cheap.

are they fairly good paddle tires in your opinion?

If its going to be a one time trip, dont even bother with paddles. My stock blaster actually did really well in the dunes with just stock tires. If you love it out there, get some good paddles for your next trip. I basically argue that anything is better than gecko's. I just wasnt happy at all with the performance of the ones I bought. The bike literally performed far better with stock tires than with the geckos. They just dug me in holes all the time, no real hook-up. Something about the shape of the cup on the paddles just wasnt right. They took about 70% of the bikes power just to get them moving, take off was never a rev and drop kinda thing, there was a lot of careful clutch work involved. I had to start off on either a downhill or a flat, on a hill I just didnt have the power to get moving, it just stalled.

I dont know if it was entirely the paddles or if it had more to do with the number of paddles (8, which I questioned, but was assured that the blaster could easily handle), but I just wasnt happy with them. I made it up most hills with stock tires and it was a real fight to get up even small hills with the paddles. Anyway, the most popular tire designs are usually popular because they work. No company that I know of has copied the geckos, so stick with what's proven, straight or angled paddles.

do you know if GBC sand sharks or sands are any good? they have the look right anyways. do you think your blaster just didnt have enough power? mines getting ported ,bored filtered and jetted. sand sharks look basically like sand skates, with little to no difference that i can tell

i looked at ur pics, i like the one with the Rap at the top of a dune. It love to haul @$$ up the side your rap is on and launch off of the dune on my blaster, that would be sooooooo awesome.

oh ya, i just mainly want enough hookup to wheelie, i know the blaster will have the power, just mayB not the traction

I'm sure that they would work just fine, you can order them through rmatv, who I highly recommend, both for service and pricing. It's usually easiest to just order them pre-mounted on douglas rims. If you're just going to use the rims for dunes, and not change the tire on them later and use them for some other application, the .125 should do you just fine, if you want a little extra insurance, get some .160's, thats what I have and I've never bent them. The .190 in my opinion is just extra weight to hold you back. Like I said though, anything is better than gecko's, so whatever fits your budget should work fine. With the extra power you'll get with the motor mods I'm pretty sure you can pull 8 paddles' but dont get any more than that.

Yeah, I launched off that one myself, but I came up the left face, top of second gear, got about 6-7 feet of air, landed a bit hard though, I wouldnt recommend it on a blaster with such hard shocks. But hey, have a go at it, just not as fast as I did, lol.
