talking about dumb questions i need help just got a blaster dont know much about them.....keep that in mind...... I bought a 99 blaster for 600 bucks a steal, all it needed was a top end i thought but when i took apart the top end i saw the bottom end crank was burnt which would be caused by the bottom end rod bearing i belive not to sure.....but anyways the crank is burnt and the bearing is thought to be shot would it be safe to just ride it the way it is with the oil actually in it not like the person before who owned it enpty. or do i need a new crank and bottom end bearing?? would the tranny gears be burnt havent cracked the case yet. if so do i need a whole new bottom end or can i jjust replace the internal gears and what not.....which would be cheaper anyone know....help would be appreciated! thanks.

Rockin... Keep in mind I am no mechanic, but I think if it were me and I had any doubt about the case being cracked I would fill it with Kerosene and see if it leaked, then look for visual cracks and such. Split the case change the bearing, clean well, and start back together rebuild the top end and you should have an almost brand new engine!.... Thats just my .2 cents. Hope this helps out. Ow and before I tore it down I would check to make sure it the Tranny shifts through the gears.
Maybe someone else has a better idea...

Basically what i meant was the questions that are really simple......the "HERES YOUR SIGN" type of questions. I didnt mean to offend anyone on here, i was just making a topic trying to see if there was alot of funny/dumb things that people have heard of.
Sorry speedy, i had to use that as an example, no offense to you personally.
Ive asked some dumb questions too, hear this.......
Me and a couple of my buddies were going riding and they wanted to take me to this spot they found that had some cool stuff to ride on. I had no idea where they were talking about so i just followed them. Soon enough we came to a stop and when everyone cut their machines and removed their helmets i asked..."IS THIS WHERE WE ARE? My buddies both laughed their a$$es right off. I felt like a total moron after saying it, but it just happened to come out that way when really what i meant was "is this where the spot is"

I never was smart at school, but i was the smartest on the bus!!!!!!
