Default What the all-time dumbest ? on here????

What is the dumbest questions people have seen onhere so far? Maybe not the dumbest but some simple ones that would be best answered by going to your garage and trying it. Like when people ask if a bumper will fit on their quad..........go to your garage and find out. I personally would much rather go and do it myself or find out myself rather than ask someone online how to do it. Or like if aluminum makes a spark when it is being grinded on? no offense speedy but " I THINK" it would have been alot easier and quicker to just take the grinder to the edge of the aluminum to see wouldnt it have?

Well lets hear some of em?

Maybe the person only had one piece of aluminum, and it was next to some gas?... Maybe the other person didn't want to put money on a bumper only to get it and find out it don't fit. Even if I think a question is stupid I would never say so. I think people have a right to ask whatever they need to and feel comfortable doing it without having people make fun of them!

I remember someone asking about adjusting the valves on a shee or blaster... They obviously didn't know much about engines and had heard adjusting valves was important, and didn't want to tear up their quad. They ask a legit question, and was told that 2 stokes didn't have valves.. Now they know. No need to make fun of them though.

Easy fix to a life long problem. REMOVE ALL WARNING LABELS! That will thin the population out a bit.

now, i know everyone means well, and everyone just wants to learn. I've been in the military for a couple years now, and THERE IS SUCH A THING AS A DUMB QUESTION. here are just a few examples that i've heard since ive been in the military. and keep in mind, i'm a heavy equipment mechanic and so is everyone that asks these questions. the number next to the person is how long they've been in the military as a mechanic. so here it goes:
person a- 5 years- where is the transfer case fluid level dipstick on that 2 wheel drive truck?
person b- 1 year- where is the grease zerk on that battery?
person a (again)- why is it taking so long to fill this engine with oil? (while filling the engine through the dipstick tube, instead of the valve cover)
person c- 2 years- are the spark plugs bad? (in a hummer with a 6.2 litre diesel engine)
person d- 11 years- why doesn't the air horn work? (when there's no air pressure in the tank and the guages read zero psi)
so here are just a few examples of dumb questions, just to prove the point that there IS such a thing as a stupid question.

LOL... see those are people that SHOULD know what they are talking about though... I know everyone has to learn and that is why I try not to be harsh on people on the forums because allot of times they are just trying to educate themselves. Its kind of like Bill Engval and the "heres your sign" thing! Now in the real world where people SHOULD know whats up its a different story! I try to be nice, and try not to laugh to hard at people BUT sometimes you just can't help it......LOL See below....

I remember working as a temp back at one of my first jobs (we were doing "restocking" at lowes), and there was a guy that was "helping us out"! LOL Now this dude was a case all to himself. There are basically two lengths of beams that go across the racks at lowes long ones and short ones. This guy was irritating me one day so I sent him to go get the "beam stretcher" because I had a short beam and needed a long one... This guy spends the next hour going around asking the workers where the beam stretcher was at! LOL come on!!!!!!!!

Same guy... We were going on break and he was going to keep on working. I told him not to try to take one of the beams off without someone holding it... Coming back from lunch I pass him and the boss (he was holding his hands over his mouth because he had split his lips open when a beam fell on his face) These beams you have to unlock a tab and then hit it upward to unhook the side... Works good for one end but as you are holding the tab on the other side and hit up on it the only thing thats holding it in the air at that point is GRAVITY! LOL

Same guy... Told him that the stickers (that the price is on) were lick and stick! LOL Sure enough later that morning I see him over there licking the stickers!!!!

I have allot more with him but I will stop there!

Now I have to tell one on my wife... We had been dating a few years and she was 16 going to take her drivers test... I was driving her to the SP barracks and we pass a sign that says "Pedestrian X-ing"... She looks over at me and asks "whats a pedestrian?" .... I had to pull the car over to keep from wrecking!
