Default Todays results at the MX track Banshee vs. 450R

I have a totally stock banshee and my dad has a totally stock 450r. We took them both to the MX track today to see what the differences were between them. The final results were the banshee was much better than the 450r.

The banshee had a smother ride which made it easier to control and on the 450r you couldnt go as fast due to you might loose control or run off the track ot hit a jumo the wrong way.
SUspension wise the banshee had a much softer landing and I was hitting very hard on some jumps that i was landing good on wiuth my banshee.
The 450r had a little more traction in the sandy conditions due to the banshee's awful stock rear tires(took some air out of the rears of the shee and it hooked up better)

over all the banshee did better today on the track.
some people say the 450r shocks are much better than banshee but i cant see that from todays results and they say the 450r is a much better MX machine, I beg to differ.

I've rode the r and I didn't like how high it sat. It was also kinda slow. But the new black ones look cool though. Just thought Id warn you that there are going to be alot of haters soon to fall your post. So get ready for some bashing from people who payed to "get the best stock MX Machine". A least dirt wheels believes that and some gulable readers.

Yeah, I definately like everything about the banshee, except its front shocks. I'd take a set of 450R shocks over the Banshees oldies.

I would take a 450r over a banshee anytime, the banshee is a fun quad with lots of potential for its element (sand/draging) but its day has passed, Yamaha should have revamped the banshee many years ago before the 2 stroke ban came about. Banshee = sand dunes, 450r = trail/track, yfz450 = pure mx.

I donno bout this one guys...

I do know that the 450R is better on the track but you have to put riders that will ride them hard and push the limits to really see the 450R shine over the Shee IMO.

The shee's suspension is deffinatly hella cush and nice but think about that realistically, would a rally car ever be outfitted with suspension off a 70's or 80's caddie? Deffinatly not...the shees suspension wasn't designed to take alot. Even if the quality was just as good they arn't setup to perform as well.
