u eva see one of those paint mixers... well picture yourself in one of those holding on... i mean it will take all your energy and you will **** your pants. thats what you should overcome before you start lol. clear your fear and practice

As these guys said, practice a lot......one of the best ways to practice, is to get a friend on a quad(equal riding ability) and race eachother, when there is competition, you will try harder, and ride longer, thus you get into shape better. Also get a broom handle(chop into about a 15" piece) and tie a 3foot rope to it, and dangle a 5 pound weight from it. Wind the string up, and unwind it too(don't let the handle slide in you hand, actually wind and unwind it).....also, do lots of pull-ups, sit-ups, and push-ups. Another way to get good grip, is to get a wash cloth(or towel or something) and act like you are squeezing the water out of it, do this as hard as you can, numerous times. Also good idea to run some, and bike some too. If you lift weights, tone(lots of reps) don't build(tons of weight). Also get used to drinking lots of water.....and get a camelbak sysetm, so you can practice drinking on the go....
