tire question
#2
Depends on what your style is.Many racers run Turf Tamers due to the low profile and a less agressive tread pattern which makes them lighter. They are, I believe, a 2 ply tire which would not be too sturdy in rough or rocky terrain.
Dropping 4 inches also means 2"less ground clearance on a quad with slightly less than 5" to start with. Okay on a track perhaps but not on trails. You'd also lose major top end and gain big time low end;great for pulling stumps. Of course you could gear up to regain some lost top end by means of a bigger c/s sprocket and/or smaller rear. Unless you plan to race the bike I'd think it would be an exercise in futility.
